Decided to share this here, since we mostly read the bad stuff nowadays. I was using EasyRide throughout the day, but wanted to change from 2nd to 1st class, because 2nd would be too packed and it had been a busy day of traveling. I just wanted a good seat to relax on the way home. I changed my ticket to 1st class at the station, before the train arrived, and when the controller came to check, about 5 minutes in, I noticed that the app had cancelled my ride (“journey too short”) without me noticing. So the controller came, EasyRide was off and I had no ticket. I explained what happened, and instead of fining me, the controller was understanding and just let me start the ride again. No fuss, just “okay, these things happen, you can start it again”. So thank you to that controller. It made my day, and it’s a good reminder that honest mistakes can be treated like honest mistakes. submitted by /u/Festus-Potter
