There was the Jubilee video “Andrew Yang vs 20 AI optimists”. The optimists talked about how it’s easier to start businesses with AI. One example was “I have this great idea for an app. Now I can finally make it.” I wondered “If all you do do build a software is type into ChatGPT “Build me a software”. Why wouldn’t I type it into ChatGPT myself?” That’s exactly what’s happening now. More and more software companies and freelancers are leaving the industry and shutting down their businesses. Why? Because everything they make can be instantly recreated by AI. These AI-entrepreneurs see “AI makes it easier for me to do XYZ.” but don’t think 1 step beyond that. Now that it’s easy for anybody to do it loses it’s value. I’m pro AI because I believe this is going to happen to every industry, which means everything is going to be so cheap that at the end there is no money anymore and everything is free. Except for raw materials, but they’re going to get cheaper too. But if you think AI is going to make YOU rich, forget it. submitted by /u/ForgotMyParachute
