I know that Opus 5.5 is amazing with regards to usage, but for those who have experimented heavily with Astra, which one delivers higher-quality code architecture? I’ve noticed that Opus 5.5 sometimes makes typical LLM mistakes with regards to architecture, such as writing duplicate functions, and poor architectural decisions. I haven’t used Astra as much but when I’ve used Astra, it seemed to have better architecture? Am I just tripping? So, assuming you had unlimited tokens and usage was not a factor, which model would be your daily driver, Opus 5.5 or Astra? Like if we only had to look at code architecture and scalability. Opus 5.5 I’ve often had to correct on higher-level architecture (I write NextJS apps primarily). Stuff that technically works but is bad practice. With Astra I haven’t seen the same yet. I don’t know if its better compaction or what. I will say Opus 5.5 is much better at visual / frontend UI/UX. What have your experiences been? submitted by /u/agentic-consultant
