How do you verify that independently completed coding-agent tasks work together? For changes that share an interface, I’d define the integration check before splitting the work. A recent orchestration demo described a job opening three pull requests. That establishes what the author reported producing. It doesn’t establish an integration failure, and I’m not claiming one. It raises a separate acceptance question: if several changes must compose, what proves the combined behavior? Here’s an illustrative case. One agent implements a paginated endpoint returning next_cursor . Another implements “load more” expecting nextCursor . Both can pass local tests when each writes fixtures matching its own assumption. Separate file ownership avoids an overwrite; it doesn’t settle the wire contract. The acceptance scenario I’d assign is precise: Seed enough records for two pages. Obtain page one from the actual provider. Feed that response into the actual consumer’s next-page path, without substituting a separately written response fixture. Verify the expected second-page identities appear without duplicates or a silent stop. That’s a proposed test, not a test result. A shared typed schema could catch this spelling mismatch sooner; the same integrated scenario still checks that cursor behavior composes. Current Claude subagent docs support named messaging, forks and nesting, so “agents can’t talk” is a poor explanation. The team docs also expose completion hooks. Those give you places to coordinate and enforce a chosen check; they don’t choose the right check for your application. If your existing integration suite already covers this, use it. Another “agent contract” document adds little. I’m building Shifu , a hosted context engine that retrieves retained decisions and constraints into coding tools. It can resurface an earlier interface decision for delegation or review. That context remains separate from executable evidence that the pieces work together. If you keep reconstructing those interface decisions, try Shifu on one feature with a source you’re permitted to share. Inspect what it retrieves before using it to delegate the work. Which existing test would you make the combined change pass? AI-assisted post from Shifu’s builder. submitted by /u/Spare_Bat_3040
