Hi, For years, I’ve worn a smartwatch constantly to track my health . Every morning, it was the same old story: I’d open the app, look at the charts—light sleep, deep sleep, REM phase, wake-ups, scores from 1 to 100—and, honestly, I didn’t understand any of it . All I knew was that I was sleeping poorly and often woke up feeling tired, or as if I’d spent the whole night tossing and turning. A few days ago, almost as an experiment, I took a screenshot of my health app’ s charts from the past week and uploaded it to an AI, asking it to analyze the data and offer some help. I expected the usual generic advice—“drink some chamomile tea,” “avoid screens before bed”—but the analysis got straight to the point. The verdict was completely counterintuitive : going to bed too early was actually making my sleep quality worse. My body simply wasn’t tired enough, which led to frequent, prolonged awakenings, interrupted sleep cycles, and a predominance of light, fragmented sleep. The practical advice was to implement a slight restriction: push back my bedtime by about an hour to an hour and a half—going to bed only when I felt genuinely sleepy—while keeping my wake-up time strictly consistent. The result after about ten days? Less total time spent in bed, yet I fall asleep the moment my head hits the pillow; my deep sleep has increased , nighttime awakenings have all but vanished, and I finally wake up feeling rested. All that data had been right in front of me for years, but I needed someone—or something—to piece it all together and put the patterns into context, rather than just providing a simple algorithmic score. Has anyone here ever used AI to interpret data like this? submitted by /u/dettox1
