I’ve never been in a physical fight in my life, and honestly, I don’t know how I’d react if I ever found myself in one. I’ve seen plenty of videos and witnessed fights at school, and something I’ve noticed about myself is that I’ve never really liked the idea of physically hurting another person. I don’t particularly mind pain or physical discomfort myself, but the thought of deliberately inflicting it on someone else has always bothered me. It’s actually one of the reasons I’ve never been interested in sports or activities where the objective involves physically competing against or hurting another person. I’m also not particularly aggressive or competitive by nature, so I honestly have no idea how I’d perform in a fight. I wouldn’t be surprised if I lost. Another thing I’ve thought about is how embarrassing it would be to lose in front of my girlfriend, family, or just a crowd of people. I think that possibility would bother me more than the actual physical aspect of fighting. So I’m curious about other men’s experiences. When was your first fight? What started it, how did it go, and how did you feel before and afterward? Did it change the way you viewed physical confrontations? I’d genuinely like to hear your stories, whether your first fight was when you were a kid or well into adulthood. submitted by /u/TextSufficient674
