Hi everyone, I’ve been using Claude code to help me create apps to help with everyday tasks. These are just for personal use, to make my life easier. So far, I’ve managed to make an app that organizes certain files on my PC and filters others, things of that nature. I’ve been at this for months and I’ve noticed that, no matter what I do, over time, Claude starts hallucinating, getting things mixed up, doing tasks that end up being useless because he completely ignored the app’s main goal, etc I’m sure you’ve all experienced this. I’ve tried specific instructions, keeping things concise and clear, making sure files are up to date and in the right place. This month I even decided to get codex to help, but it started having the same issues. No matter what I do or try, the issue is always the same, it starts failing miserably. I’ve looked online, tried many different things, but over time, Claude just turns into a senile old LLM. I’ve wasted so many days and tokens on long tasks that ended up being useless. This also happens with projects outside of Claude code, everything starts off so well and slowly declines. Nowadays I have to triple check everything before implementation, and even then, there’s a high chance of it making mistakes. I’m at a loss here and I’m so frustrated over the days wasted on this. How do you deal with this? I’m sure it’s a common issue and I’m just missing something obvious. submitted by /u/FuwyL
