Where do I begin My account that I have been playing Ironman on for a rough estimate of 10 years has been hijacked and it’s not looking promising. On Tuesday night (11/3/2026) I randomly got logged out. Thought it was a world dc but I messaged someone that was on that world and he said he didn’t dc. My internet was fine as I was in a discord call and it never dropped The panic started hitting as I was just going to switch to a jagex account in the next couple days (I know it’s late) so I went to change the password and I got an incorrect password message. Eventually I sent a request and got the password changed to something else, logged in and everything was still there. I attempted to switch my account to a Jagex account right then and there but it didn’t let me, stating “too many attempts please try again later” I figured everything was fine after securing my email and account,and it was getting late and I had work early the next morning (11/4/2026) so I went to bed. The next morning I wake up to the password being changed again. That’s when the real panic started hitting because I didn’t know how long it was changed for and the worry of my items and account being gone really set in. I contacted live support and talked to mod warlock who was as helpful as they could be without being able to confirm I was the owner of the account, in which I understand. But they reassured me that the account was locked which made me feel a bit better about the situation. I had made a recovery claim yesterday (I admit a lot of info is a blur from when I made the account because of how long ago it was) that I woke up to see it denied. I did make it from a place I’m never playing the account at so that could be a possibility of why it was denied. So I wake up this morning and go to make another one and now my security questions are gone and filled with gibberish that I definitely didn’t do, which has scared me to all hell. I did make another one this morning from my house and provided more information like an abundance of passwords that I’ve used, and can provide info/ screenshots about the account Hoping this gains a bit of traction because I’ve but a lot of time into this account and to deal with this has been awful I would be lying if I said I’m not in complete panic over a video game character but this has been my childhood and adulthood and I don’t wanna lose the account Thanks everyone :) submitted by /u/Jimsona
