A little backstory about me: I’m a 21-year-old guy with literally zero friends. I live with my mother and work at a lumber mill, bringing home around $800 a week. My days consist of working the graveyard shift, coming home to help my mother with some chores, showering, sleeping, and then doing it all over again. I’ve never really had friends due to being bullied throughout school. That experience left me socially anxious and paranoid around other people. It’s gotten to the point where I’m working seven days a week because, even when I desperately need rest, I feel this black void of emptiness whenever I have nothing to do. I’m also pretty overweight and below average in looks, so going to a bar and trying to meet people doesn’t seem like a realistic option. I’ve never been in a relationship, let alone had a proper conversation with a woman. I’m looking for suggestions for hobbies or activities that might have helped others who have experienced similar loneliness, especially those who felt isolated at such a young age. It’s Friday night, and I’m genuinely looking forward to going back to my physically demanding job simply because I have nothing else to look forward to and can’t stand the loneliness. submitted by /u/Actinez23
