Posting on behalf of my fiance who proposed over New Year. He’s 32, and is feeling very conflicted in trying to select a best man. He has a ton of friends, but over the course of the last few years (not due to me, swear), he has fallen out of touch with most of them as they’ve all moved out of the area. His current best friend is a slightly older guy he met online from gaming. They’ve been discording and hanging out pretty much every night for the last few years. He’s never met this friend in person though, and while he does consider him his best friend, he doesn’t feel right about asking him to take on such an important role without having ever met him.
