I read everywhere and agree that AI is a large threat to our critical thinking skills and creativity. Recently, however, I’ve been playing around with NotebookLM for studying for quizes. But I’ve hesitated with the extent to which I use it because I don’t want to endanger my critical thinking skills and creativity. I felt that those things were on a decline with a pitfall into ChatGPT usage (pertaining more towards creating content or performing thinking tasks) that I had to desperately scrap myself out of. On the other hand I can’t think of a reason that this particular usecase would do so. This might be the wrong sub for this. Lmk if it is. But, will I become dumber by using AI to learn things? submitted by /u/Professional-Ad1261
