I decided to do calculations on how much income I need for my personal financial goals, and then tried to eye-ball how much I’d need to support a family (let’s say a wife and two children). I’m in my later 20’s and feel comfortable for myself because I am very frugal, but my income is unlikely to ever get too crazy. It’s been a little disheartening because I feel like it’s either not have a family or forget investing and compounding interest. I always hear “well you both can work and not have children right away,” but it’s usually from people who got married at 18-22, not 30 lol. Is the average guy supporting a family just kinda screwed? What am I missing here? submitted by /u/Hot_Instruction_5318
