Had arm/forearm tendinitis from years of coding. Tried all the usual stuff — vertical mouse, split keyboard, standing desk, wrist rests, physio exercises. Helped, but the pain always came back during heavy coding weeks. Since using Claude Code, I barely type anymore. It handles a lot of the boilerplate, refactors, and grunt work, so I’m not stuck in that endless “in-the-zone” typing mode (kind of miss it though). Big differences: less neck pain, less forearm pain, and honestly less time glued to the chair. Even with a standing desk, constant coding still wrecked my body. Now I just let it run while I walk around, grab water, throw in laundry (remote work perks), etc., and check results from my phone. Not to say Claude replaces ergonomics , but reducing raw typing volume made the biggest difference for me. submitted by /u/user_0_0_1_
