It seems like “expert consensus” says that AI is unlikely to cause mass unemployment, but rather reshape how jobs are done. It’ll be another technological revolution but not the end of humanity as we know it. Meanwhile it seems like everyone here is dead set on the idea that AI will rapidly cause massive unemployment, the collapse of the world order and governments, and lead the vast majority of the population to collapse into a mad max dystopia of despair while the 1-% billionaire class live in their AI paradise.
