I work in finance and there is a continual push to develop AI tools and use AI for anything, and everything. I think it’s partly because the leadership team has invested so much in it, they want to be able to point to a result. In any case, it’s been troubling me that being first (like OpenAI) is an advantage for such a short time. Having a tool as a differentiator that every competitor is working on and that is hugely expensive to produce and yields only a short term advantage with signficant regulatory risk (in our industry) feels like the incentives are misaligned. Is I better to just plan to be second and draft off other efforts? submitted by /u/Creative_Text3018
