When I sometimes talk about things I saw out in the world on a given day with my mom, aunt, and other women in my life, they always ask if I captured it with my phone. The answer is basically always no, the main exception being funny license plates and bumper stickers. Women in my life seem to have a much stronger instinct to whip their phones out and take pictures of things than myself or other men I know. I really started thinking about this a couple weekends ago when I was driving through a neighborhood and saw a garage on fire. I jumped out of the car I was driving and shouted to see who was out there, then went to the door and rang the doorbell and pounded on the glass. I was the second one there, the person who already was present was a guy who informed me he had already called it in. The other men who showed were busy checking on the fire, helping get the cars out, consoling the family, etc. Meanwhile, the females who came around hardly said a word and just stood there capturing footage of it. I felt pretty degraded on the behalf of the family. Their home was up in flames and they stood there surrounded by all these Karens with their phones out. submitted by /u/MrJackGoff
