Anyone swim here in summer? Looking for advice. I just walked from Villeneuve to Châteaux de Chillon, to check it out as a summer Swim route. Looks great, until just before Chillon, annoyingly, there is a high jetty, with yellow buoys around it in the water with an electricity symbol on them, some sort of electrical looking substation in the water - something to do with hydro power. Has anyone swum past these? How close around them could you safely go? Any electricity in the water sounds like a dumb plan to me. There are signs saying no bathing, but also steps quite close for people to get in the water - yet no advice as to where you can go other than those yellow buoys. There are steps on the Chillon side of this jetty to get into the water, but nothing south of it apart from step rocks - so not easy to get out and walk around. I’m thinking of just cutting the route short, but still not sure how close to that jetty you could get safely before turning back? Don’t fancy frying myself! Thanks submitted by /u/AquaDelphia
