For several weeks, my workstation had been experiencing sudden spikes in latency when I tried to open terminals on Windows and use CC. The entire computer would slow down, and opening a single app could take several minutes, but once open, it would run normally. However, I couldn’t see the bottleneck in my monitoring windows. The SSD, memory, and CPU were far from 100% capacity. Yesterday, I discovered that Malwarebytes’ real-time protection was the cause. For those of you who use it, have you noticed a similar situation?
