I’m genuinely conflicted about this and would like honest opinions. I overthink texting, a lot. I get really anxious sometimes, I can’t even work I’m not joking. Especially early dating, I’ll draft a message, delete it, rewrite it, sit on it for an hour, not healty at all Recently I tried using an AI texting assistant, at first chatgpt and then smoothspeak just to help me rephrase things when I felt stuck. (not to run the whole conversation) When I write something or i upload a screen it suggests alternatives, i edit some and send it But now I’m wondering if is that weird On one hand, it feels similar to asking a friend “does this sound okay?” or using Grammarly to clean something up. On the other hand, part of me worries it’s not fully authentic, like I’m outsourcing confidence instead of building it. If you found out someone you were talking to used AI occasionally to polish messages would that bother you? I don’t want to misrepresent myself, I just don’t want my anxiety to sabotage conversations either. Curious where people draw the line, I hope someone understands me submitted by /u/No-Swordfish7597
