In the past i built one project not using AI as a coding tool but copying and pasting my code for help debug. I am not a professional coder just small passion projects. I decided to try using Claude code. Give it my prompt and it didn’t even finish planning the project before it ran out of my daily limit. I had selected Opus 4.6 because that’s supposed to be the best coder. I am on the pro plan and using the app on windows. I know I would pay for max but I really do not want to shell out that kind of money since this is not a full time gig for me. Am I using it wrong? Are there better tools that do not eat tokens? thanks. submitted by /u/binaryatlas1978
