So I’ve been wondering for quite a while now and would appreciate some thoughts. I feel like I messed up something with someone who felt like he would’ve been my perfect match but I kind of ruined it before it even started. We met on bumble and after talking for a while we went out on a date. Despite not expecting much I was so smitten with him and he seemed to feel the same, asked when I would be free for the next time right after the date etc etc. I liked him so much that I even decided I didn’t want to continue using the app for dating purposes anymore so I switched the app to friend mode (bumble bff, meant to meet platonic friends for joint activities). So I overhauled my profile, changed some pictures and the text in a way that I thought would be better for finding friends instead of someone to date. Shortly after I did that he unmatched me. Ever since that happened I have been wondering if he just saw that I had made changes to the profile and thought I was lying about how much I liked the date and him. Like that I was doing my best to try to get more matches for dates on that app because apparently the other person is not able to see if you switch from date to bff mode (which I obviously didn’t know). So…. Would you notice and what would you think about it? Would it bother you? submitted by /u/-mirroroferised-
