I think vibe coding can be a rewarding and productive experience. The mistake most people make is that they assume that once something is vibe coded (like agent created) that it is somehow “production ready” (in general the code is not and the reason it’s generally not is that most people do not know what it mean to make code “production ready”). Even vibe coding or asking an agent to make it production ready will still lead to security issues *because the user themselves lack the expertise in knowing if something the agent or AI is doing is going to lead to problems. One solution’s is for AI and agents to be required to inform the user that what has been produced is for demonstration purposes only. That would at least help some people avoid this mistake. I don’t think we’ll see an industry standard because no one seems to willing to acknowledge that AI and agents have this risk.
