During Covid I grew my hair long and didn’t cut it for a while, I’ve had a few haircuts mostly at the beginning but since then I started cutting it myself with my girlfriend and I had it cut last year where I just asked them to tidy it up for my graduation. My problem is I hate the barbers and don’t really want to go because I have no idea what I should be asking for. When I had short hair I would just say a number and how much I wanted off the top. Now I kind of want my haircut properly, but have no idea what I say when I get there, my girlfriend says just take a photo, but unlike women’s haircuts their aren’t a lot of great photos and I would feel proper awkward going “hey make me look like this handsome supermodel” because they all look like that. Do I just go and say “make it this length” What follow up questions should I be expected to answer? submitted by /u/fakename137
