Hey everyone, on February 4, 2026, the SEM officially announced (to the cantons) that third-country nationals with a standard B permit can freely change employers. Apparently no need for extra authorization or a new labor market test to switch jobs. This immediate change across all cantons follows an October 2025 Supreme Court ruling, which made it illegal to tie a B permit to a specific employer.
