The company originally had around 6k employees before covid. Then during covid they decide to hire 4k more for some reason. They realize that their stocks have been relatively flat for a while and that the didnt actually need the extra 4k. So they fire the extras, call it AI and see their stocks go up 25%. The world we live in is so fucking stupid. People can just pull off stunts to cover their mistakes and simply call it AI and they get rewarded. This AI delusion is getting out of hand. CEOs are gonna start following him so that they can make huge bonuses short term then simply cash out and quit once they realize they made a huge mistake. But they dont care, they will make millions now and let someone else clean up the mess. submitted by /u/No-Start9143
