My buddy just called cuz his dad died suddenly and he wants to hangout. He wants to go hiking in the woods cuz that’s something we often do together. I’m thinking I pick him up with food and a couple beers How can I addresses the subject and make him feel better? What should I avoid saying or make sure to say? Is the beer a bad idea? We drink together every once in a while and he’s not an alcoholic so I’m not worried Any help appreciated, I’m just not sure how to react to this but I want to be there for him as best as I can submitted by /u/Remarkable-Motor-112
