Morgan Stanley just released data from their annual audio habits survey and the numbers are wild. 60% of 18-29 year olds are already listening to AI-generated music, averaging 3 hours a week. For 30-44 year olds its 55%. Over 65? 4%. The kicker: a separate Deezer/Ipsos study found 97% of people can’t tell AI music from human music in blind tests. And the listening is mostly happening on YouTube and TikTok, not Spotify. I wrote up a breakdown of what this means for the industry and why the “should AI music exist” debate is already irrelevant: https://www.votemyai.com/blog/60-percent-young-people-listen-ai-music.html The generational divide is insane. Young people just don’t care who made it. They care if it sounds good. submitted by /u/Sensitive_Artist7460
