I’ve been wondering why ai cost so much. is it due to the implementation in that generalized llms require we pull all the data back to train it, store it, and then apply massive processing power to retrieve all the information locally? if so, if federation were possible (eg RAG), would that make things much more affordable? submitted by /u/mfairview
