Has this happened to anyone else? Both Meta and TikTok has done this to me now. I’ll wake up and have an unsolicited message from the social media’s AI chatbot from around 1am. The Meta AI message was a few months ago and was an ad for Meta glasses. When I asked it why it was sending me ads at 1 in the morning, it denied doing it and said it doesn’t have that capability. I received the TikTok Tako message last night. It was an ad for Tako’s image generator. Again, I asked why it was sending me ads at 1am, and it did the same as Meta AI and denied sending the ad and said it didnt have that capability. I don’t even use these chatbots. The Meta AI message was the very first message I ever had/received from the chatbot. I had only ever accidentally opened TikTok Tako thinking I was using the blue link search feature. submitted by /u/CleverGirlReads
