Hi everyone, I currently have a mobile subscription with Salt, and Salt does not support Apple Watch Family Setup (the feature that lets you set up a cellular Apple Watch for a child who doesn’t have their own iPhone). My child is using an Xplora watch right now with a “We Connect Watch” subscription from Sunrise, and we would like to replace it with an Apple Watch. Sunrise does support Apple Watch Family Setup. What I’m trying to understand is: Can I use my iPhone (with a Salt subscription) to set up my child’s Apple Watch under a Sunrise watch subscription? In other words, does Family Setup work if the parent’s phone and the child’s watch are on different carriers? Has anyone successfully done this kind of mixed setup?
