Hey guys, first time poster here:) I started the birth control pill about a week and.a half ago. My doctor said to start it the Sunday I was supposed to start my next period, so I did and obviously have been taking it daily since. My period started last Monday, was pretty light, and then got very heavy and has been heavy for the past 5-6 days. I’m on day 9 currently—usually my periods are 6 days max, and days 5-6 are super light. I assume this is normal for starting the pill but I’m still curious. Did anyone else experience something similar? Is this normal? How long will it take for the hormones to sort of work themselves out and my period be normal again? submitted by /u/Lady_Bird1999
