I’m still a teenager, so my perspective might be limited or even shallow in some cases but I’ve been thinking a lot about how the term masculinity seems to be changing over time. Historically, being a man was often tied to being a provider, being physically strong, emotionally reserved, and fulfilling very rigid roles. Today, it feels like there’s more space for men to be emotionally open, vulnerable, and free from some of those older expectations.
