Good day gents, I am 21M, working @ a big corporate company in the financial sector. I am at a junior position, I’ve been here for just over 6 months and the work is starting to pick up and I am not content with it, I accepted this job because I was unemployed, wanted something in finance to get a foothold but the kind of finance I’m doing isn’t what I actually want to do. I am doing courses for the role that I want but I have a feeling, that the corporate thing isn’t for me. The company I am at now has great culture and is probably a 7/10 in terms of stress. I have always been entrepreneurial and want to start my own thing and have an idea to do the same. I am for now, staying in this job (because the market is shit) and I want to accumulate capital to: A) Fund my idea and keep it going once live B) Have a good cash cushion to cover me for a while I don’t spend much, maybe just on food from time to time but since I stay at home and pay for my portion of utilities - I have home cooked meals often. No debt, have a credit card that I use for fuel, small expenses and pay it back in full every month. I wanted to know, how common this feeling is and what are some stories of folks who have bit the bullet, gotten out of the corporate race and are happy about where they are. Any other advice relating to this is also encouraged. can answer relevant questions if you have any. thanks and regards. submitted by /u/WakeMeUpImDead
