Does this happen to you? You see Twitter (X) or Reddit full of phrases like: “No, use Pika!” “No, Runway is better!” “Try this new one!” Everyone’s chasing the newest AI video tool. Nobody goes deep into any of them. The thing is, I have ADHD. My brain loves new and shiny things. For example. I have a plant next to my computer, I see it needs watering. I go to the kitchen, fill a water bottle to water it, sit back down at my computer, leave the bottle next to me, don’t even remember why it’s there. And suddenly I find myself drinking the water from the bottle without having watered the plant…. Well, for people like me, what really works is to stop chasing new tools and new updates, spending tons of money on a thousand trials, and focus on one. I decided 5 months ago to commit to a tool built for episodic storytelling. (Happy to share which one if anyone’s interested, don’t want this to sound like an ad) And the result is that my results keep improving. Not just because the tool keeps evolving, but because I’m really learning how to use it properly. Character consistency improves. Visual flow improves. I spend less time editing and rewriting prompts, redoing scenes…. I see more and more that my work rhythm is becoming more efficient. Jumping between AI tools does the same thing to my workflow. I get distracted by the new shiny thing and never get good at anything. And careful, I’m not perfect and sometimes it happens to me. I spend money on something I think will help me because of the novelty, the freshness it gives me… that’s normal, right? It’s like having a bike that works, that works well for you, but you decide to buy a top-of-the-line carbon fiber one because that way you think you’ll go faster on climbs. The problem isn’t the bike. The problem is you’re not in shape yet. What do you think, folks? Does the same thing happen to you? Focusing in this world full of novelties and overinformation isn’t easy. submitted by /u/Eliciuss
