TLDR Your favorite brand of Rugged Tactical/Cargo Pants for Heavy Duty work Use described below My husband has worn Wrangler Carpenter Jeans for work for the past 15 years or so. He likes the lighter color wash. However, they are getting harder and harder to find and they seem to be poorer quality than they had been in previous years. He works mostly outdoors, electrical/radio/microwave tower communications… so his pockets are always full of shit. EDC - wallet, keys, cellphone (quick snap case on his belt), shears & knife leather(also loops on his belt). I don’t normally find much in the back pockets. Front pockets: misc screws, wire nuts, shrink tube (nothing major). That angle pocket on the right thigh always has a small pair of pliers and small screwdriver. He’s usually pretty good about putting everything on the shelf in our closet when he unloads every day after work. I give you all of this because I don’t want to alter his routine if I can help it… I have looked at Cargo / Tactical pants because I thought they might be a good alternative and maybe have a little more room and/or stretch for constant bending and kneeling, carrying batteries for battery plants / window A/C units, etc. They must be fairly rugged or have the ability to put up with a man who puts ‘get it done’ before worrying about what he is wearing. Former military so he is familiar with wearing tactical pants. As a civilian, I have only ever seen him in cargo shorts/never pants unless it’s his ski pants. The ANGLED thigh pocket is used daily and I am afraid if the pants don’t have an open pocket for his pliers and screwdriver, he won’t like them. Opening a pocket flap would break the habit of how he puts things in his pocket. So… for every day manly work where shit has the potential for ruin but your gear can handle it… what are your favorite brands for Tactical or Cargo Pants? Much appreciated submitted by /u/omgsharon
