So, this was the hot topic of after works drinks last night! I was working behind the bar and starting talking with a guy who was in town for work and eating by himself. I usually try chit chat a bit longer with solo diners if they seem in to it and he really did. (I also happened to find him extremely attractive.) We ended up talking for like 15 minutes before I realized I should probably be doing my actual job - but I stopped over a few more times and kept talking with him. He stayed for a bit after he was checked out and I was giving some recommendations on things to do around our city. Here’s where the debate starts - As he was leaving I wrote my number on a receipt as said, “This is a bit forward, but can I give you my number?” I did also say that he could text me if he had any questions about the attractions I told him to check out, and he said yes and took it. Some of my coworkers were super supportive and said we seemed like we were really hitting it off, and that it was the right move. Some are saying it was weird and unprofessional, and that I probably made him uncomfortable. Now I’m not sure if what I did was bold and appreciated, or over stepping and weird. submitted by /u/elevenfifteennine
