For me, it’s property tax. Knowing I’ll never truly “own” my home and I’m forever an indentured servant and if I don’t pay property tax the government will seize my home. Even if you inherit a property that’s been paid off for decades, you still owe property tax on it in America every year, forever. That one really gets to me. submitted by /u/mutants_at_table_9
