I’m 33, I’ve been with my fiance for 6 years, we’re getting married soon however I’m unfortunately also going through a bit of a dark period in my head, just yesterday I found out my wife to be has been receiving messages from a former friend who she said she had no contact with, now fair enough she doesn’t need to run every friendship by me but when he’s calling her things like “cute” and “amazing” then I feel I’ve got a right to be uncomfortable, not that she’s reciprocated long but she isn’t shutting it down either. She’s always described me as “the nice one” or “gentle”, which she tells me she’s always needed, her friends and family all love me but now I’m not sure, I almost see it as an insult.
