All controversy with design and use-cases aside, the worst issue I have with the new crush spec wep is by far the name. To quote the dev blog: This weapon looks far more like a flail than a bludgeon… and we’re now referring to it as the Crimson Kisten - named after the medieval Kiścień. …What??? The name “Crimson Flail” is right there! Why over-complicate it? Are you trying to confuse both new and old players alike? I thought it was bad when every weapon from Varlamore had to be short-handed to something completely different than the actual name (looking at you, maracas, ralos, etc.), but those were at least tied to the actual historical name of the weapon or a mish-mash of in-game lore appropriate terms. “Kisten” just feels so lame and half-assed in comparison. It’s not even a real word! (sorry Germans) Please, just make it as simple as possible. You can play around with fancy made-up names years and years down the line when design space actually demands you do so. submitted by /u/Severe_Paper_Cut
