For around 2 decades now, governments and individuals have made sure to make everyone feel super guilty about every single aspect of everyday life which might cause pollution. I genuinely believed it was a good thing until recently. Why are we being forced to drink from paper straws, drive EV, not take the plane, while these imbeciles in governments can just freely throw missiles and bombs at each other? Not only are they killing humans, but also disturbing entire ecosystems and generating more pollution than any of us ever would. As much as people complain about Swiss climate policy, I feel like we have made a great step ahead (even if far from perfect), but for what? I am genuinely tired of being held accountable by colleagues and the government for taking the plane once a year, for eating a mango that was imported from South America, for driving a car. I really think there’s no point in caring anymore. All these efforts are literally going in vain, and the more time passes the more critical it becomes. I know this might sound like I just want to complain, but I’m just honestly tired of all this. Our summers here are becoming hotter each year, we will have passed the 1,5° threshold in 3 years, and yet nothing is done apart from our little actions that don’t really seem to have na impact. submitted by /u/Chemical-Rush-6433
