All i can see is people saying SWE is dead and we are finished. Yet when i look at the data i realize the market is decent. I know its hard for juniors but other than that the amount of SWE layed off isnt THAT much and the amount of new jobs are more than the jobs that got laid off. Plus most companies are laying off due to economic and budget reasons more than AI. Infact the small company i work for has expanded alot in the last few months. And its not the only one. So idk is AI really replacing jobs or are the few unlucky laid off people generating 95% of the internet traffic trying to convince people we are done. And dont get me started on the non tech people thinking we are finished because they vibe coded a simple frontend of a habit tracker app. submitted by /u/No-Start9143
