  • I wish I would be able to leave a comment on that post… yet I am still shadow-banned on Reddit for unknown reason…

    However, I read the following:

The problem is - vibe coding, without review, removes this. It removes the teaching of your brain to “think like a developer”. To think of every possible outcome, every edge case. It removes your ability to learn - IF you chose for it to.

I was so happy when I read that! I also started programming in around 12 years old, and currently am around 40! That was so warm to see…
    And then, they say:

The code AI writes, 95% of the time, is impressive. Learn from it. Try to understand the algorithmic logic behind. Try to understand what it’s trying to accomplish, how it could be done differently (if you wanted to). Try to think “Why did Claude write it, the way it did”.

And then I just wanted to leave that person alone with their beliefs. I want to forget this existed, and that I invested my life time into reading this. I hate this. I abhor it. I want my life time back I invested into reading this.
Since I do absolutely not share them, and will never do. That LLM, as any other, does not write, and especially anything impressive. It was, and still is the people, other developers, who wrote that.
And these are who the genius and whose work is impressive, who will probably never even be get attributed, contributed, and acknowledged for their incredible work that LLM meatground, because of people like this person, who glorifies LLM and even suggests that nonsense to juniors.

Let’s see, dear author of this post, whether you will eventually become dependent on your trendy LLMs, lose your experience/skills/love in programming, development, discovering, achievements… or not. If you’ll ever reconsider the mistake you do, let’s hope you won’t regret the time you lost with that limited algorithm you paid for to atrophy your own mind and believe in purpose of development as an accountable human.
