17 days agoGuy here. It’s because we have it hammered into us from a young age to “stop crying”, and then we get older and people will start to use our emotions against us.
In 45 years I’ve met exactly one person who doesn’t use my vulnerabilities against me. I married her.
Some people genuinely don’t want to be happy, and will find any excuse they can to avoid being happy, and will secretly get very angry if you try to make them happy.
And it wasn’t just me having this issue, she married someone I knew after I left, and he told me about the same problems.
